CME Spotlights

Title: 26th Annual Utah Domestic Violence Coalition (UDVC) Conference
When: November 13-15, 2017
Where: Utah Valley Convention Center, Provo, Utah
Provider: UMA Foundation
CME: 4.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™

The theme of the 26th annual UDVC conference is Recognize, Organize, Energize: Empowering Individuals and Agencies to End Intimate Partner Violence. This year, an emphasis will be placed on a coordinated response to intimate partner violence (IPV) within individual agencies, between agencies, and in the broader community setting. The goal of the meeting is to equip attendees with prevention strategies, tips for engagement with policymakers, and tangible tools to support all those whose lives have been impacted by IPV.

This year the UDVC has grouped medical sessions on Monday afternoon, November 13. The keynote address and workshops will focus on mandatory reporting, responding to official demands for information, the impact of IPV on children, discussing privacy choices with patients, and conducting primary care screening. Medical professionals, of course, are invited to attend the entire conference but only the Monday afternoon sessions will be designated for CME credit.
